The AFRL Regional Network – Mid-Atlantic's Q4 newsletter reflects a milestone-filled year of growth and innovation. Highlights include a recap of the sold-out 2024 Annual Meeting, which hosted over 100 members and awarded $1.3 million to nine innovative projects—marking the most competitive funding cycle in the Network’s history. Keynote speakers such as Lt. Gen. (Ret.) S. Clinton Hinote and Dr. Timothy J. Bunning emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in advancing critical technologies.

The newsletter announces the Winter/Spring 2025 funding cycle opening on February 18, 2025, alongside a featured project, Cellec Technologies’ R0BUST battery innovation, which promises breakthroughs in energy storage for extreme conditions. Since its inception, the Network has awarded nearly $5 million to projects and achieved a 6.7x return in follow-on funding.
